Meet the Team

Dr. Tara Workman D.C.-Chiropractor
Dr. Tara Workman is a born and raised Alaskan who specializes in working with patients who struggle following a traumatic brain injury. She herself is a fellow TBI survivor which lead her to go to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA to receive her Doctorate in Chiropractic. She specializes in upper cervical technique that resets your head on straight and resets your nervous system. She has a passion to helping serve her community with helping people understand how their bodies work and to be a partner with them in healing their bodies so they can enjoy life in the Alaskan outdoors. Dr. Tara has 7 children, with 2 children still at home, and she is proud to have 3 grandchildren. She loves to spend time outdoors, camping, boating, fishing and hunting in her spare time.

Dr. Tammy Saddler D.C.- Chiropractor
Dr. Tammy is originally from a small town in upstate New York and moved to Alaska for an adventure of a lifetime in 2006. She has lived in the Matanuska Valley for the past 15 years and really enjoys all that Alaska has to offer. Dr. Tammy received her degree at New York Chiropractic college in Seneca Falls, New York. She has been a chiropractor for over 20 years now and her passion is working with kids and introducing them to the benefits of healing and chiropractic care. Dr. Tammy and her husband have two daughters and in her free time she enjoys reading, biking, beekeeping, exploring Alaska and taking care of her 7 chickens and 2 dogs.

Dr. Michael McClaskey D.C. - Chiropractor
Dr. Mike has over 25 years’ experience as a chiropractor. Born and raised in California, he brings the sunshine to Alaska. After graduating from Parker Chiropractic, he opened a practice in Dallas, TX and then another in Northern, CA. With a zest for freedom and adventure, Dr. Mike moved to Alaska. He has practiced in the Mat-Su Valley for close to a decade. He loves hiking, camping, skiing, snowmaching, and all things outdoors! His passion is helping others feel their best!

Danielle Calderwood, RN
Danielle began her career in emergency medicine and has over 15 years in the medical field. As a Registered Nurse, she is passionate about helping and educating others on their path to healing. Like all of us at Altair, she is committed to empowering individuals to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. She believes in patient-centered care, rooted in empathy, active listening, and respect. Her mission is to be an advocate for those seeking real answers and lasting healing. Danielle loves hiking, her dogs, and visiting with her patients. Jonathan Crawford, PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant
Florida-born and Alaska-raised, Jonathan is a PTA that has experience on both sides of the climate coin. He received his degree from UAA in Anchorage, having always wanted to work in the service industry to assist those who need it most. He has both a dog and a cat, and enjoys spending his time biking, reading, playing games, and snowboarding.

Evie Arsenault, LMT - Massage Therapist
Evie has been practicing massage on her loved ones since childhood and finally achieved her license in 2023 at Alaska Career College in Anchorage. Her caring, intuitive touch caters to all pressure needs, and she has keen interest in the role fascia can hold in physical and emotional tension. In her leisure time Evie enjoys reading, crafting, attempting to garden, journaling with her cat, and wandering through nature with her dog.

Chase Talbot, LMT - Massage Therapist
​Chase is a patient favorite with his own special techniques of helping you heal. Born and raised in Arizona, he’s lived the exciting Alaska life for about 20 years. After graduating from massage school, he has refined his methods right here in the Mat-Su for over 6 years. Chase has a beautiful wife and daughter. He loves flying and is currently working on his pilot license. When he’s not soaring in the air, you’ll find Chase grounding patients and helping them recover from their own Alaska adventures. Marla Bauknecht, LMT - Massage Therapist
​A favorite at AIW, Marla brings a wealth of knowledge with her as she performs her uniquely healing massages. Trained in myofascial release and myoskeletal alignment, her integrative skills help her help you in your own transforming health journey. Her belief that all lives are significant is shown in the work she does, as Marla also works on animals, especially horses. Her background in chiropractic education is instrumental when collaborating with our doctors to help you feel your best. Marla was born in Georgia and grew up in Florida. Mariah Campbell, LMT - Massage Therapist
​A lifelong Alaskan local, Mariah has shared a beautiful life with her husband for the last 14 years and they have raised their two children to love what Alaska has to offer! As a dedicated massage therapist for the past 7 years, she tailors each treatment to the unique needs of the individual, anywhere from light touch to deep tissue. Mariah strives to offer a warm, restorative environment where every client feels cared for, understood, and supported in their wellness journey. When she is not helping others to unwind you will find her enjoying the outdoors, reading a good book, or tapping into her creative side on one of her many hobbies. Joyce Cornell, LMT - Massage Therapist
Joyce began her lifelong career by helping her dad as a child. In 2000, she was encouraged to get certified and became the magical therapist that patients have come to love. Joyce specializes in many different modalities, including trigger point, and says it is all determined by the client’s needs. Joyce is a true Alaskan, as she’s been here since 1978. Brandy is one of our most experienced and dedicated therapists, having been a part of our wellness clinic throughout its growth and success. With over 25 years of massage practice, she brings both skill and compassion to every session.
Specially trained in Cranial Sacral and Lymphatic Drainage techniques, Brandy tailors each treatment to meet her patients’ unique needs—whether you prefer gentle, restorative touch or deep, therapeutic pressure, she supports you on your healing journey.

Angela Kaufman, Veteran Specialist Insurance Coordinator
Outgoing, friendly, and always aiming to brighten someone’s day, Angela has worked in the chiropractic field for over 12 years. One of her favorite parts of the profession is caring for veterans and ensuring they receive the high-quality care they truly deserve. Angela is Alaska-born and raised, and proud to call this state home. She is deeply dedicated to her work and brings passion and commitment to everything she does. Angela enjoys all outdoor activities—including hiking, fishing, and camping—and loves spending quality time with her family and friends. Staying active and working out are among her top priorities in life.

Leyna Cordle - Front Desk
Leyna is from Texas and has resided in Alaska for 13 years. She likes to explore the outdoors and hike. She also enjoys fishing and being with family and friends. Leyna is kind and compassionate, understanding and easy going. She enjoys taking care of others and she considers seeing the growth of people in their healing journey to be such a blessing.

Julianne Workman - Front Desk
Julianne is our newest asset to Altair. She has stepped up to the plate to help our busy front desk. Jules is born and raised Alaskan. She is currently homeschooled and brings a fresh professional attitude to help patients get settled in. Jules loves to put on the chef’s hat and make tasty dishes in the kitchen.
