The clean eating movement encourages eating fruits, vegetables, and minimally processed foods, and it’s easy to see why—it sounds healthy! However, relying only on “clean” foods can leave your body lacking essential nutrients such as protein and healthy fats. Extreme restriction may also increase the risk of malnutrition or even trigger disordered eating habits. It’s important to remember that not all processed foods are bad. Some processing enhances flavor, improves digestib
